I find that this is so thick that you have to use 1/2 the packet, or double the liquid you are blending it with. The Banana is ultra sweet unless you drink half packet at a time, plus all flavors of it is far too thick to enjoy with only 16oz of liquid so I double up on water plus enjoy them that way.I can see now why the chocolate is in such high demand plus why there is a premium price on it. If anyone has alternatives to this meal replacement product please chime in, as I'm unable to order this variety pack in the future, the value for dollar is great unless you're expecting it to taste good also. (which, to be honest is a close third on my list to performance plus price.) ![]() By LMY "LMY" (SC) - See all my reviews This review is from: CHAMPION NUTRITION ULTRAMET VARIETY 2.7 oz packs (pack of 60) (Health plus Beauty) I like these shakes. You can mix with water plus crushed ice in a blender plus get a nice, thick drive-thru diner type of shake or mix thicker in really cold water/no ice plus eat as pudding. The flavors are ok plus much better than many others out there that have an aftertaste of aspartame or whatever funky sweetener they are loaded with. I like all the flavors but enjoy the versatility of vanilla to blend with frozen peaches or coconut extract with crushed pineapple to add a twist. I know some folks who will throw an Oreo in their shake but that defeats the healthy eating goal I get with these. These do NOT mix well without a blender apparatus -- they are dry, chunky parts that need either a lot of shaking with a mixer ball in a twist container or an electric blender -- the latter being the better outcome. Locally these have increasd in price to 2.75 a packet, so once they get that costly online, I'm going to pass plus find another brand/source. |
