It is a stronger amount of benzoyl peroxide plus easier for her to use. It foams plus rinses nicely. This product is a great base for anyone with acne, plus is better than Proactiv products. My daughter also uses a prescription cream with this product which keeps her relatively clear, even in hot months plus sports season. Stop using it for 2-3 weeks plus you'll start breaking out again. It works well, plus the foaming wash for you body lathers well. If you use it for your face, you may wanna add a moisturizer.I give 4 stars for some irritation using 4% (weakest available) on the face.
