Love La Roche Posay, plus love this serum. Going on my second bottle. I use it every night after cleansing with a Clarisonic, then follow with the Toleriane moisturizer.It burns a little in the beginning, but after two or three days it stops. It feels like a very light oil, plus I can feel it washing off with water in the morning. I don't use it during the day - it doesn't feel like it would work under makeup. It makes the skin shiny when it's on. Like the other reviewer, I apply pretty close to my eyes, plus it doesn't bother me. My skin looks better the next morning, plus if I stick to it, a week later it's just glowing, even-toned, plus supple. I am a 40yo with combination skin plus a few wrinkles here plus there, plus occasional acne. I've been using this product every night plus morning for about 6 weeks plus have not seen any improvement in texture, smoothing of wrinkles, nor reduction in pore size (even temporarily). When I first started using the serum, I felt a burning sensation all over my face due to the acids. Not unbearable, though, plus after a little while, my skin acclimated plus I no longer feel the burn after applying. Also, I've used the serum pretty close to my eyes (under-eyes plus outer corners, to target the wrinkles) plus experienced no irritation even though my eye are can be quite sensitive. But despite all this, I see no visible improvement in my skin. I will continue to use the bottle until it's finished plus will then update my review.Update 11-10-12: I've finished the full bottle with no improvement in skin at all. Not even temporarily.
